Higher education institutions across the nation are facing tough financial times with shadowy national reports forecasted over the next decade: enrollment will be historically low and institutions must adjust to stay afloat. This shift has been the impetus for the implementation of a corporate customer service model to increase enrollment, particularly among schools and programs that have looked to new technologies and modalities to reach and recruit a rapidly growing demographic—the online graduate student. This webinar will explore a small liberal arts institution’s effort to provide holistic student services, while increasing enrollment for graduate programs and meeting the demands of the competitive market. Finally, this session will provide practical strategies to help institutions embrace a student-centered service model from admissions to advisement.
This session will be presented by Dr. Amy Harrison, Assistant Professor of Higher Education Leadership at Missouri Baptist University, and Brittany Sansagraw, Director of Graduate Admissions at Missouri Baptist University.
Amy Harrison, Assistant Professor of Higher Education Leadership at Missouri Baptist University, earned her PhD at Saint Louis University in St. Louis in 2016. She also has degrees in English (BA, MAT, MA), which allow her to continue teaching composition and literature courses. In her primary role, she oversees the master’s and doctoral programs in higher education and serves on numerous dissertation committees.
Brittany Sansagraw, Director of Graduate Admissions, is currently ABD (as of March 2020) in a doctoral program for higher education leadership at Missouri Baptist University. Brittany’s decade of student service experience, coupled with her educational journey, continues to inform her student-centered prospective in graduate enrollment. In her primary role, Brittany oversees the graduate enrollment strategy, which includes an aggressive inbound marketing strategy and a holistic approach to student services.
