From Invisible to Invaluable - Reimagining Your Internal GEM Marketing
Graduate Enrollment Management (GEM) involves significant external marketing, but what is your internal marketing strategy? Are others on your campus aware of your GEM plan? Raising the visibility of GEM activity to campus constituencies brings more visibility to the unique needs of GEM, especially for campuses where more attention is focused on undergraduate enrollment management. Reducing the unconscious exclusion of the unique concerns of graduate students from institutional priorities allows greater collaboration and efficiency in external GEM effort. From the perspective of a graduate school at a public university, this session examines the challenges and benefits of promoting GEM activities to your campus and discusses specific approaches to make GEM more relevant in institutional decisions by reimagining ways to market GEM internally.
